Progression Curve & Fall Tolerance

Unlike casual arcade games that rely on artificial randomized gates, Wobbly Spirit uses a deterministic physics progression curve. As you advance through the 30 stages, three core parameters adjust dynamically:

  • Survival Duration: Ranges from 12.0 seconds at Level 1 up to 28.0 seconds at Level 30 (calculated as Math.min(12 + Math.floor(lvl * 0.7), 28)).
  • Fall Threshold Angle: Begins generously at ±49.6° at Level 1 and tightens down to ±38.0° by Level 30 (Math.max(50 - lvl * 0.4, 38)). A lean angle that is safe in World 1 triggers an instant topple in World 4.
  • Atmospheric Gust Strength: Zero wind during Levels 1 and 2, scaling continuously from 0.015 N up to 0.065 N by Level 20.

World 1: Dusk Peaks (Levels 1–8)

Set against a tranquil sunset over distant mountain ranges, Dusk Peaks is designed to instill muscle memory for the core inverted pendulum physics. The primary challenge is learning to overcome the intuitive urge to hold the controls continuously.

Key Hazard: The introduction of wind gusts at Level 3 and your first sky bird encounter at Level 7.

World 2: Midnight Sky (Levels 9–16)

The sun dips below the horizon, plunging the landscape into deep indigo starlight. Midnight Sky introduces regular bird crossings (occurring systematically on Levels 10, 13, and 16). When a bird touches the pillar, it imparts a sharp lateral momentum vector.

World 3: Neon Storm (Levels 17–24)

Violet thunderclouds gather overhead, crackling with static electricity. Starting at Level 17, lightning flashes precede shockwave gusts that instantaneously reverse wind directions without ramp-up transitions.

World 4: Solar Zenith (Levels 25–30)

Rising above the storm clouds, the spirit reaches the blinding golden stratosphere. In Solar Zenith, fall tolerance reaches its absolute minimum of ±38.0°. Every level runs for the maximum 28.0 seconds with 5 floating orbs, demanding flawless concentration and micro-corrections.
